Tennis Club gets resurfaced

On Saturday 12 September 2020 Kesgrave Tennis Club officially opened their newly re-surfaced all-weather tennis courts next to the Sports Hall at Kesgrave Community Centre.  SPARK donated £20,188 (some of which is expected to be repaid by funding by Virador) which has allowed the club to play on state of the art surfaces.

District Councillor Stuart Lawson and long time tennis club supporter Shirley Coupe cut the ribbon watched by SPARK Trustees Stewart Young (Vice Chair), Pat Mills (Secretary) and Judith Francis (Treasurer).  The youngsters using the courts seemed oblivious to the ceremony and were too busy enjoying the facilities.

Long may they SERVE the community (apologies)

This latest grant follows a major contribution towards the renewal and upgrading of the floodlights surrounding the courts.
